Chinedu Christian Ugwu (born 4 August 1993), better known by his stage name M.Chris, is a Nigerian hip hop and Afro pop recording artist.

Biography

Early life and music career

M.Chris was born on 4^th August, 1993, in Aba, Abia State Nigeria. He is the only child of his parents, his real names are Chinedu Christian Ugwu, from Enugu State in Nsukka Local Government Area, Nigeria.

He attended his Primary School in the year 1996 at Chigozie Nursery and Primary School, and Secondary School in the year 2002 to 2008 at Modern Child College, Aba, Abia State.

He discovered his talent when he was 10. He always sings in the class entertaining his class mates covering songs of popular musicians like Nelly, R.Kelly, 2pac, Snoop Dogg etc. At 13 he started writing songs. He engages himself in Rap battles and singing competitions.

After his graduation from High School in the year 2008, he attended a Computer training institute  for six months and obtained a certificate in Computer Application. He applied for the position of computer operator at Demac and Co Computers and worked there for four months later he worked at Grace of God Computers opposite, Abia Polytechnic Aba and raised some money.

In 2010, he joined a music crew called Dazzle Squared Entertainment, that same year, he recorded a song which he titled “I wanna See you Dancing” collaborated with Crew mate  Prospereo, that same year the group Dazzle Squared Entertainment went to Lagos to hype and promote the track but was not successful because of financial challenges. In the same year he recorded another rap song tittled "HIP HOP" featuring Prospereo, the track was among the No 1 Rap song in ABA City.

In the Year 2011, He joined a breakdancing crew called "EXPRESS DANCERS" which the members are named: M.Chris, Porter, Drug Man, Chibyke, Chinezy. Due to his dedication and superlative dance skills he was made the leader of the crew. The crew subjugated the whole of Aba and beyond and won numerous dance competitions.
